Description After Subaru USA changed their filter supplier we recognized a need for something better. Subaru has always been known for their great oil filters, from packaging to filtering elements to supply they have proven to be one of the best if not the best in the OEM world. Tokyo Roki is one of the most respected oil filter manufacturers and these come straight from Japan in the original Subaru packaging so you can be sure you are purchasing an authentic Subaru part! This is the same exact filter that comes with all brand new WRX’s / STI’s from factory as the “engine break in filter” or as known as the “first oil change filter” This filter features an identical build to the old black STI filters, offering almost double the filter media surface area (725.73 cm2 vs 473.7 cm2 on the OEM 15208AA12A filter) all while maintaining the bypass valve PSI rating of 23psi.
