The pen is a work of art. The nib works on capillary action in the spiral grooves on the outside of the nib, turning the nib into a “brush”. The amount of ink stored is surprising. You can get several dozen words out between dunks. The sound the nib makes on paper is awesome. The pen allows you to feel the texture of the paper as you write. The nib is very well designed. The ink only flows if you hold the pen at normal writing angles. If you rest the nib on the page, the ink does not flow out, so it’s nearly impossible to make a mess. If you park your ink bottles nearby and have a small bowl of water handy you just dip the nib in water to clean it, dry it, dunk it and go. Maximum fun!
