With a soft torch, I gently roll the edges to create that organic, wave-like rim before shaping the flat strip into a ring. A hand-built bezel is aligned and soldered to the band, then I clean and refine all joins for a smooth, modern finish. About the stone This natural Amethyst (6.5 carat) shows a rich violet hue that plays beautifully against bright Argentium silver. After forming and soldering the bezel to the band, I polish, heat-harden the Argentium, then fit the gem by grinding the bezel to height, cutting a seat if needed, and carefully pushing the silver over the stone. A bezel is the strongest everyday setting and helps protect the gemstone edge.
