Her intricate linework captures each flower in exquisite detail, blending vintage elegance with Field Notes’ signature design sensibility. The result is a set of memo books that feel timeless—like treasured heirlooms rediscovered on a well-loved bookshelf. Complementing Farrell’s work, artist Laura Garcia of Paper Perennial crafted the lifelike paper blooms featured in the accompanying short film, Coneflower, Foxglove, and Chicory, adding a tactile artistry that mirrors the care behind every edition. The covers of Fall Flowers are printed on Mohawk’s new “Midnight Blue” 100#C Mosaic stock with a distinctive burlap texture. To replicate the patina of old clothbound books, Field Notes used three subtle metallic inks that shimmer softly under light, suggesting age and richness without losing modern refinement. The inside back covers include details about each featured flower and a compact list of Field Notes’ beloved “Practical Applications,” offering both beauty and utility in true Field Notes fashion. Inside, each memo book contains smooth 60#T Domtar Lynx paper ruled in light blue-grey, perfect for writing, sketching, or journaling. The pocket-sized dimensions of 3½” × 5½” make these books ideal companions for field notes, creative ideas, or seasonal reflections.
