Very similar to its Blue-Black sibling but a lighter, less business-like and more cheerful colour. With perhaps very slightly more pronounced shading but slightly worse feathering resistance. To my eye, a smidge more true blue compared to the other ‘standard’ royal [washable] blues from Lamy, Pelikan, Parker, Sheaffer, etc. which all lean ever-so-slightly but noticeably to violet. Waterman Serenity Blue is closest. Compared to many of the other ’boutique’ blues available, some will find this ink boring and insufficiently saturated; I find it easy on the eye when presented as pages-full of writing. The greatest feature that sets this ink apart from all these others though is its water resistance.
